SCHOOL DISTRICT UNVEILS REPORTING SYSTEM FOR BUS SAFETY

The Edgefield County School District debuted an enhanced reporting system on Monday, October 13 that offers school district parents and community members a faster way to share bus transportation praise or concerns from any smart device. The system will also provide greater accountability tools for the school district.

School district parents, faculty, and staff members were notified of the system in a message delivered Friday, October 10.

“We’re very excited to provide our community with a new platform they can easily access to share important information with us related to student transportation,” said ECSD Public Information Officer Mike Rosier. “Our goal with the enhanced system is to provide even greater assurance to our families that every voice in our school district has the opportunity to be heard and reaffirm that every student transportation experience they have with us is important and valued.”

Key Features of the ECSD Enhanced Reporting System (Bus) Include:

● Centralized Submission: The District has created a dedicated platform parents and community members can use to submit praise for bus drivers as well as any concerns they have. This feedback will be easier than ever to provide and track.

● Follow-Up Communication: Stakeholders will receive a follow-up communication from the ECSD Transportation Department team within 24 to 48 hours (and most often in less than a single business day).

● Accessibility: Parents and the community can connect with the system from any smart device via the District website, all ECSD school websites, or a QR code (attached).

“This system will strengthen both our communication and accountability layers, ensuring that our bus drivers continue to provide outstanding transportation services for our students,” Rosier added. “Our ECSD school bus drivers have provided hundreds and thousands of hours of safe and reliable transportation for students over many successive school years and that will not change.”
