Community Invited To Free Hot Dog Supper
Friends and family of the late Charles Nicholson will honor his memory on Wednesday, Sept. 10 by serving the community a free meal in downtown Johnston.
Organizers have dubbed it “Charles Nicholson Day” and will offer a free hot dog supper from 5 to 7 p.m. in front of the mural on Edisto Street, next to Possibilities Furniture & More. The community outreach will include free hot dogs, chips and a drink.
The event is being presented in memory of Charles Nicholson, who passed away on August 20, 2024 at age 59. Timmerman, a Johnston native, was a 1985 graduate of Strom Thurmond High School. He was a longtime employee of Graniteville Company and Trantech Radiator, and he was a deacon at Rosa Spring Baptist Church.
